For our third weekend in Germany, we ventured to a Chocolate festival in Tubingen, the Wilhelma Zoo and Botanical Garden, and the Christmas market in Stuttgart.
The chocolate festival was the talk of the town! Everyone was talking about going since it was the last weekend. We ended up meeting up with some family friends and had a blast. The most memorable were the chocolate shots in an ice cream cone, the thick and very rich hot chocolate, and the mulled wine in the fire pot.
The next day, we took our daughter to the zoo for the first time. The Wilhema Zoo and Botanical Gardens was huge. Unfortunately, the botanical part wasn't as beautiful this time of year, but we still loved it. Our little zoo animal had a blast as she was very receptive to the animals in their enclosures. She had so much fun, she almost slept all the way through the night for the first time. Her favorites were the fish and the gorillas.
Finally, the Stuttgart Christmas market has been the best one we have seen so far. It was so big we didn't even get to see it all. There was a larger selection of ornaments, more rides, an ice skating rink, more decorations, etc. The pricing was even more reasonable than some of the other Christmas markets. We left with a bag full of goodies.
Auf Wiedersehen until next weekend.
